Website terms of use
Effective October 5, 2026
These terms apply to the Markify website, spaquet.github.io/markify ("the website"), run by Stéphane Paquet ("we", "us"). By using the website you agree to them. The Markify app itself is licensed under its own license, and how the website handles personal data is described in the privacy policy.
Using the website
You may read, link to, share and quote the website freely. You may also crawl and index it, including for search engines and AI assistants; robots.txt and llms.txt are there to help.
Please don't:
- try to disrupt, overload or break into the website or the services it runs on;
- present the website, its text or its images as your own, or suggest that Markify endorses you without permission;
- use the website in a way that breaks the law.
Content
The website's text, screenshots and design are © 2026 Stéphane Paquet. Its source is in the Markify repository under that repository's license. The media kit may be used to write about Markify; other uses of the screenshots and the icon need permission.
The help pages describe the current version of Markify and may not match older or newer versions exactly.
Downloads
Markify is downloaded from GitHub Releases and provided under the license in the Legal page, including its disclaimer of warranties. Download Markify only from the website or from github.com/spaquet/markify.
Trademarks
Markify and the Markify icon identify this project; please don't use them for other products or in a way that could confuse people. Apple, Mac, macOS and Apple Intelligence are trademarks of Apple Inc., and other names belong to their owners. Mentioning them doesn't mean they endorse Markify. The comparison page reflects our understanding of other apps on the date shown and may be out of date.
Links to other websites
The website links to services we don't control, such as GitHub. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we're not responsible for their content.
No warranty
The website is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. It may change or go offline at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your rights under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version is published here with a new effective date, and continuing to use the website means you accept it. Earlier versions are in the website's history on GitHub.
